YA Books Central says FRACTURED TIDE is buzzworthy. Check out the page here.

FRACTURED TIDE is a Junior Library Guild pick! Apparently, the book gets a sticker, and I absolutely love stickers.

After much nail biting, I can announce that Kirkus Reviews gave FRACTURED TIDE the thumbs up, calling it “an escapist read that will reel readers right in.” Read the full review here.

Book Launch! For my debut launch, I was going to have a book signing at a bookstore, but…it’s cancelled (sigh). Still, the show must go on! FRACTURED TIDE will be have a virtual release on May 5. I’m planning on teaming up with a great local indie bookstore to put this virtual party together. I think there’s live video involved, and some freebies for people who attend, and…well, I don’t know everything yet, but I can tell you this: it’s going to be epic! Or just really cool. Or kinda fun. It will be something, I can tell you that! Stay tuned…

DFWCon, June 13-14, 2020, Hurst, Texas: Last year The Writer magazine declared DFWCon one of the best writing conventions in America, so I’m thrilled to be a part of it. I’ll be teaching two craft courses and appearing on a panel. One of my courses will be on how to use Story Grid techniques as a revision tool, while the other will cover scene construction for beginners.  I’m also honored to be on a panel with three fabulous debut authors: Brooke Fossey, author of THE BIG FINISH; Ellis Kaye, author of HOW A HEART BEATS; and Dana Swift, author of YA fantasy CAST IN FIRELIGHT.

Agents and Editors Conference, June 26-28, 2020, Austin, Texas: I’ll be on a panel with some other fine folks, so come and see me!
